Droolworthy Craft Room

My crafting space seems to be no more than a few shelves and some fabric bins to hold my yarn and a pretty bag. So while that space is still developing, here's another look at a droolworthy craft room, courtesy of this blog.

Such a Monkey

I once again found myself down a random trail of blog links and came upon a cute site called House on Hill Road. I really liked this little shirt the blog author made, and I thought I'd share. It reminds me of Bert and Ernie meets Jessica's sock monkeys.

I Couldn't Agree More

Found this painting over on Yummy Goods, and I thought, "how about it." Words to live by.

Chilly Willie Sweater

I finished another baby sweater to add to my Etsy shop. This one is similar to the sweater I made for Mandy's baby (coming any day now!), but instead of an owl, I went with a penguin since winter is fast approaching (boo!). These sweaters knit up relatively quickly (in case you think I don't work during the days).

The Big Reveal

I'm happy to report that I finished knitting my first adult-sized sweater! Yay! It took about 3 weeks, but a lot of that is because I had to restart so many times. Once I put the spacers in place it went pretty quick--and at least when I did mess up, I knew where to go back and fix it. So that's that. Now I'm just awaiting the first "sweater" day of the fall season to start wearing it (but I can most certainly wait). I guess it's now on to my next project. =)

The buttons are actually stone beads that I found in the bead section of JoAnn's. I wanted big giant buttons that were unique, but those are hard to come by. I'm really pleased with how the beads worked out instead.

Bulldog Love: To Bettie

When Shane and I were housebound, one of the biggest things we were looking forward to was getting a bulldog, aka Bettie (yes, I already had her named). Now that we're temporarily renting, Bettie will have to wait a little longer until she can come "home." I miss Bettie (yes, despite never meeting here). So this blog entry is dedicated to her...wherever she may be. (Photos all came from AllPosters.com.)

Sock Monkey Central

Jessica, the designwaitress, just opened her own Etsy shop where she will be selling her wonderfully cute and creative sock monkeys. She brings such a unique look to each one of them, that they really seem to have their own personalities. Great job, Jess!
