Lookie Up There!

My partner-in-craft Miss Jessica and I are doing a bit of a craft swap. I asked her to make me a new banner (look up) and in exchange, I'm sewing up some throw pillows for her (I think...unless she changed her mind). She gave me lots of good choices to pick from, but the owl was my favorite. And, she said she could switch the owl's pattern and colors according to the season. So cute! Yay for Jess! (Thanks, J!)

Here were the two color options she gave me. I love the green...but I like the brown, too. Versatility is so nice!

The Sweet Life

Three days til I'm off to the sweet life. However, it's not lost on me that my life is pretty sweet with or without a vacation. I have a husband who makes me laugh and listens to me complain about all my daily aches and pains. I have friends near and far, who would be there for me in a second's notice if I ever needed them. I have a family that loves me regardless of how non-conformist I choose to be. I have a job...sure it makes me crazy, but it still gives me *somewhat* of a creative outlet. I have a roof over my head (even if it comes with running toddler feet of my upstairs neighbors). And I have a blogger friend oceans away who gave me an award just for doing what I do...show-and-tell crafting. Thanks Ning!

I found the blog A Fanciful Twist in the new Artful Blogging magazine courtesy of Miss Lisa at work (thanks, btw!). The online pages are filled with pretty things that I thought were simply sweet to look at. Enjoy.

Word Up, Wordle!

Jessica just clued me in on a cool site called Wordle.net. Here's what the site says about itself:

Wordle is a toy for generating “word clouds” from text that you provide. The clouds give greater prominence to words that appear more frequently in the source text. You can tweak your clouds with different fonts, layouts, and color schemes.

So I typed in my blog address, and here's what came back. Pretty snazzy.

That's Some Sweet Scrapbookin'!

In the comments section of a post on A Beautiful Mess (a blog I look forward to visiting daily), I came across a link to a Artes By Regiane, a scrapbooker's blog that features very fun designs. It's not in English (although, some of her crafts seem to feature English words), but it's still very worth a visit to see the sweet stuff she's making.

I can't believe I missed it, but last Sunday was my one-month blogging anniversary. Hope you've enjoyed viewing the posts as much as I have enjoyed creating them.
