A co-worker sent me this for it's high cuteness factor. I couldn't agree more! I don't know how to crochet, but seeing this stylin' lion makes me want to learn how! You can learn more about him here.

Jimmy the Chipmunk
NOTE: I did not make this. I wish I had because it's adorable, but alas, it's not my handiwork.
Shane and I are getting settled into the new home and actually tore out the water feature/pond that was in our backyard over this past weekend. Hopefully I'll have pictures coming soon. The first "being" to greet us, is a little chipmunk that I've name Jimmy. He's a little skitzy but also kind of brave. I think we've freaked him out a few times just by working in the yard, but I'm hoping his little ticker can take it. I saw the following knit toy over on Fuzzy Thoughts this morning, and I couldn't help but think of lil' Jimmy. I hope he's enjoying the beautiful day in our backyard while I'm stuck in a cubicle for the long haul. I guess I'll need to start living vicariously through my little fuzzy new friend.

Kristi's Baby Blanket...and Bonus Mouse!
Remember all the babies (and baby mamas) that needed gift blankets knit? (No? Go here.) Well, Shelley's turn was up next with Kristi's blanket. We had originally planned to all do the same blanket, but Shelley didn't think she was up for the round and round stripes of that pattern and decided to do a log cabin instead. And since she's very pregnant (her gift blanket will be coming soon), we tend to let her do what she wants. =)
She ran out of yarn to make the blanket as big as she wanted, so she quilted it with the knit top instead. In turned out REALLY sweet. And with the little bit of yarn she had left, she squeaked out a mouse. (Get it, squeaked...mouse...ah, I make me laugh.)

Take Me Home, I'm Yours!

If you're ever in Australia and come across a bagged toy hanging around in a random place, take it home! It's part of The Toy Society. Here's what their site has to say:
"The Toy Society" is a small project spreading the love throughout the streets. Nothing to it really just a bunch of handmade toys made by The Toy Society looking for a nice home. Should you come across a member of The Toy Society on your travels collect them up and take them home with you! But don't forget to let us know about it here."
I thought this was a really sweet idea...and I wish one existed here in Madison. Hmm...maybe the girls and I could start a franchise. =)
Check out some of the toys:
