The long holiday weekend allowed me to get quite a bit of crafting done. So with all the free time, I was able to finish my quilt. I've decided to name this one the "I don't give a hoot" quilt, because it's perfect for those cold wintery days where you don't care about going out and doing anything but cozying up on the couch with an old movie, a book, some knitting and a cup of tea (or glass of wine, depending on which side of noon it is). Corduroy, flannel, and a thermal blanket interior make for a very toasty cover up! Here it is...but, first a note: I still have not perfected straight enough seams to be proud of my top stitching. I'm working at it though. =)
Oh...and I decided to add the owl to the back, just for kicks.
I think the owl makes it. :)
ReplyDeleteI agree, the owl totally makes it. That is the cutest thing. Makes me think about doing some quilting with my fabric stash.
ReplyDeleteLove it! That owl is just too cute!
ReplyDeleteI love that the owl keeps popping up on your handiwork!

ReplyDeleteThe little owl on the back is so cute and I love the name you picked out for it. It's great when there is some good meaning behind the quilt.
